Manga Translator Help

Quick start guide for uploading pages, translating bubbles, and saving your progress.

Back to editor

1) Start a project

  • Sign in, then open the main editor page.
  • Set source language, target language, and style in the top controls.
  • Optionally choose Vision and Translate models before bulk work.

2) Upload pages

  • Drag images into the upload area or click to browse.
  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG, WEBP (up to 16 MB per file).
  • Select a page thumbnail on the left strip to edit that page.

3) Translate bubbles

  • Use Bubble, then drag a box around a speech bubble.
  • Review Original and Translation text in the side panel.
  • Use Translate for one bubble, then manually polish if needed.
  • Use Re-transcribe when OCR text is incorrect.

4) Speed up page work

  • Use Auto-detect to find likely text regions on dense pages.
  • Use Translate all after reviewing detections.
  • Delete false detections, then rerun only where needed.

5) Save your progress

  • Use Save project often to download a backup ZIP.
  • Use Open project to resume from a ZIP later.
  • Use New project only when ready to clear current work.

Common issues

  • Upload fails: verify type/size limits and retry.
  • Slow translation: first request after model warm-up may take longer.
  • Wrong output language: recheck source/target selectors.
  • Lost work: reopen your latest saved project ZIP.
